Bitter End is on the North Sound of Virgin Gorda- beautiful/ remote and protected/ 12 miles from Tortola/ 30 miles from St. Thomas and 75 miles from Puerto Rico. Bitter End is situated on 75 acres of land and more than a mile of waterfront on the northeast extremity of Virgin Gorda. It fronts North and Statia Sounds. The property is accessible only by water. Bitter End is the last island outpost before the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. North Sound is filled with beautiful coral reefs and endless beaches. Marine life is abundant and snorkeling sites are spectacular for their color and variety. Brilliant fish such as wrasses/ grunts/ damselfish and parrotfish abound/ and the variety of colorful sponges and corals is umatched. Bitter Ends major attraction is its lively and well-maintained waterfront with active marine and watersports facilities/ restaurants/ and shops. The setting is enhanced by lush/ well-tended landscaping that features a wide variety of flowering ornamental shrubs/ trees and other tropical plantings.
